Believe God for Provision

Sean and Lisa Scott - 02/26/2011
(David's notes in red)

In a dream, my wife saw David Eells and he was speaking to a group of people. The people David was speaking to were people whom the Lord had given land to so that they could prepare for the future. My wife, myself and another brother were in the crowd. David lifted up his voice and rebuked many of the people. He was sharing how that many of those whom the Lord gave land to did not have enough housing for others because they did not believe God for it. He was telling them that they needed more housing for others who would come and that the Lord would provide it, if they would believe God for it. He was really exhorting people to believe God for provision. ("You have not because you ask not..". We must ask and believe for the needs and provisions for God's people.)

My wife, myself and another brother were part of those receiving the rebuke. Then she saw that David had a lot of supplies left over from the land. He wanted to sell the leftovers to others who could use them on their land. (In Acts, they both sold and gave excess material possessions in order to meet the brethren's needs. {Acts 2:44} And all that believed were together, and had all things common; {45} and they sold their possessions and goods, and parted them to all, according as any man had need. They sold possessions and used the money for the saints needs. {4:34} For neither was there among them any that lacked: for as many as were possessors of lands or houses sold them, and brought the prices of the things that were sold, {35} and laid them at the apostles' feet: and distribution was made unto each, according as any one had need.)

On a small table all by itself was a HUGE piece of meat. It was really large, like 3'x2' (much provision and sustenance). David then cut it and took half for the land and then sold the other half. In the dream, we saw that we could use the other half for us, so we wanted to buy it. My wife went up to the lady at the table to buy the meat. She saw someone else who was looking at buying it, too. She told the lady that we'd buy whatever he didn't buy. The man decided not to buy the meat and we purchased the half piece of meat that was for sale. The lady said the meat cost $150. My wife told me to pay for it but as I was going to pay for it the other brother with us paid for it for us. (Jesus paid the price to "supply our every need according to His riches in glory".)

While we believe this dream has application to many who are preparing land for the future, we know that the Lord was also specifically speaking to us through it. The Lord gave us land and a few dwellings to prepare for the future and we thought we were finished with it after working on it for a while. But the Lord is telling us that we need to believe God for more because it will be needed for His people at a future date. (It appears to be so. Many will be out of work, homes, cash, etc.) God wants to provide for His people but the provision comes through faith. I wonder if the man who didn't buy the meat could represent someone who doesn't believe that they need more provision or that the Lord will provide it.
