Coming of the Man-child

Micah 5:2 says, "But thou Bethlehem, which are little to be among the thousands of Judah, out of thee shall one come forth unto me that is to be ruler of Israel, whose goings forth are from of old from everlasting". I am sure you figured out that he is talking about Jesus. He continues, "Therefore will he give them up until the time that she that travaileth has brought forth". He gave them up, didn't he? He walked away from them. They did not recognize Him when He came. He was given to be the head of Israel. He was the stone that the builders rejected.

He said that He was going to give them up until she who travaileth has brought forth. Jesus was brought forth a long time ago. He was talking about some other woman bringing forth. He is going to give them up until the beginning of the tribulation when the woman brings forth the man-child.

"Then the residue of His brethren shall return unto the children of Israel. They are not the children of Israel. It says that they are going to return to the children of Israel. We are the children of Israel. Romans 2:26-29, 4:16, 9:6-8 are some verses that say that we are the children of Israel. We have been hearing a lot of garbage about them being the people of God. They are not Israel. The children of Israel are the people who are grafted into the vine Jesus (Rom.11:19-24). If they are not walking by faith, they are not the seed of Abraham (Gal.3:7-9,29 6:16).

They are not coming back when they sacrifice in some temple. They are coming back when they become Believers in the new covenant and enter the temple made without hands! That is the only way that they are going to come back to God. A remnant is going to be grafted back in, then "all Israel shall be saved"(Rom.11:26). Micah 5:4 says, "And He shall stand and feed His flock in the strength of the Lord in the majesty of the name of the Lord His God". When the man-child is born, He is going to stand and feed His flock. Jesus is going to be manifested in the man-child. The man-child is a corporate body of the first fruits born from the woman, the Church. The Jesus who was the first fruits in the beginning of the gospels is the same Jesus who is the first fruits in Rev. 12. Jesus said he would come again after a while as a man-child born to a woman (church) and then they as the travailing woman would rejoice (Jn.16:19-22). You can thumb from there all the way through the book and you will come to that man-child almost 2000 years later in Rev.12:5. He has come to do the same works but in a different body. At that time the children of Israel are going to start turning back to the Lord. They are going to come to the kingdom. The verse continues, "In the strength of the Lord and in the majesty of the name of the Lord His God, they shall abide. For now shall He be great unto the ends of the earth". God is going to be manifested in His first fruits, they are going to turn and feed the flock of the Lord, He is going to be manifested in the flock of the Lord, the two witnesses (the modern day disciples of Jesus who will also go out two by two). They are going to go out and magnify Jesus in everything that they do.

It is called the latter rain.

The book of Acts is the second 3.5 years of the tribulation. It is called also in the book of Joel the latter rain. Acts was the former rain and it is a symbol of the latter rain. The latter rain has not started yet. When we see the latter rain, we are going to see the book of Acts multiplied many time over. It is going to be around the world.

It is going to make people so angry. Why were those Pharisees angry with Jesus? He went around preaching like everybody else. People could listen to Him or not listen.

They were angry because He had the power of God to prove who He was. They were jealous. The people who go out in the latter rain are going to have the power of God. The false prophets will be jealous because these signs are going to be proving another name.

The false prophets will be just as dogmatic and narrow-minded as the people in Jesus' day. "He will stand and feed His flock in the strength of the Lord and in the majesty of the name of the Lord His God, and they shall abide. For now shall He be great unto the ends of the earth. And this man shall be our peace, and when the Assyrians shall come into our land and shall tread in our palaces, then shall we raise up against him seven shepherds (sounds like the seven churches) and eight principle men".

Why seven shepherds and eight principle men? They are all in one man called Jesus. The man-child is not an individual. He is going to be a leadership for the seven churches. He is going to stand and feed His flock. Jesus was manifested before this 2000 years of the church and He is going to be manifested in the end. He is just going to be manifested in a bigger body, so He can go to all the world.

For me to say I am Jesus, would be saying that He is all in me. He is not all in me though, but He is manifested in me. The Bible says that in the end they will say here is the Christ or there is the Christ, but do not go. Jesus is going to be manifested in His people. He is going to be manifested in a larger body. That whole body can say "I am in Jesus and Jesus is in me". Individually, we must say "Jesus is in me", but not "I am Jesus".

"And they shall waste the land of Assyria with the sword and the land of Nimrod and the entrances thereof. He shall deliver us from the Assyrian when he cometh into our land and when he treaded within our borders".

Who was Assyria back in that day? Assyria was the beast. That was the beast that conquered Israel. This has a double meaning. First, the people that God is going to raise up in the latter rain are going to have authority to destroy this system. Read the book of Daniel. Who is it that destroys the kingdom of the beast? It is the saints of the most high (Dan.7:26,27). The destruction of the beast is going to come out of their mouths. They are going to speak that destruction. It is going to come to pass because of the word of faith that they speak.

Revelation says that they reign upon the earth. There is another meaning here also. Read the story of the destruction of Damascus in the Bible. You will think that they have been nuked. "And they shall waste the land of Assyria with the sword and the land of Nimrod and the entrances thereof". The entrances thereof is the Golan Heights. The entrances into Assyria out of the promised land was the Golan Heights. The Bible says very plainly that they will be destroyed.

Who is going to be responsible for that? It is not Israel. All the judgments in the book of Revelation are like all of the judgments in the Exodus.

Where did they come from? They came out of the mouth of the man-child (Moses). That is what is about to happen. All the credit goes to Jesus, but He can move through anybody He wants to move through. He is about to choose those who He calls His first fruits and He is about to move through them in power.

It is going to be Him. He is going to stand and feed His flock.

Who is His flock? The woman, the disciples of Christ, foreshadowed by the first disciples (Rev.12:6), and the remnant of her seed (verse 17), the chosen Jews.

When are they going to return to the Lord? When the woman brings forth the man-child, they will return to the Lord. Then the Lord will stand and feed His flock. That is the time when the Jews will return to the Lord. Hosea chapter 5 tells us why God turned away from the Jews in the first place. One reason is that they had the spirit of whoredom in them (verse 4). They bore strange children (verse 7). That is exactly what has happened in the church today. They have strange children that do not look anything like the Father. They were crushed in judgment because they were content to follow after a man's command (verse 11). Have you ever wondered why, for the past 2000 years, God has not really been manifested in the church? He turned away from the Jews, but it looks like He turned away from the church also. There were the Dark Ages that we went through, and most of the church has not come out of the Dark Ages yet.

Hosea chapter 5 fits the church just as well as it fits the Jews.

The Lord is coming back for the church also. He is coming back for what is called the latter rain. The Bible says in II Thessalonians 2:1-4 that before this there will be a great falling away. We can see that there has been a great falling away. The only way you can find out what it is to be a Christian is by studying the Bible. The latter rain is only a greater manifestation of the early rain.

Hosea 5:15, "So I will go and return to my place, till they acknowledge their offense, and seek my face: in their affliction they will seek Me earnestly". That book is good for both the church and the Jews. The church is about to seek the Lord like they never have before because of their affliction. The Jews are also going to seek the Lord in their affliction. Then He is going to manifest Himself to them.

Hosea 6:1, "Come let us return to the Lord; for he hath torn, and He will heal us; He hath smitten, and He will bind us up. After two days He will revive us; on the third day He will raise us up, and we shall live before Him".

What are these days? (2 Peter 3:8) "But forget not this one thing, beloved, that one day is with the Lord as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day".

Having read the writings of the early church fathers, I can tell you that they commonly believed in the 1000-year day and that after six of these days the end would come. The Hindus, Muslims, and the Jews also believed this. Gibbon in "The Rise And Fall of The Roman Empire" said that the Christians believed this. I have found in scripture over a dozen astounding revelations using the 1000-year days pointing to this time in which we live.

The Bible is laid out in seven prophetic 1000-year days. These days are always numbered from the creation of the first Adam or the birth of the last Adam. There were 4000 years, or four days, between the Adams. I believe in September of 2001 to 2002 came to the Biblical year 6000 A.M. (Anno Mundi - year of the world). This was the morning of the third day or third thousand years from the last, new creation Adam, Jesus Christ. It was also be the morning of the seventh day from the old creation Adam.

This is when the end time begins and God finishes His work. (Gen.2:2) "And on the seventh day God finished his work which he had made; and he rested on the seventh day from all his work which he had made".

According to this type, God is about to finish His new creation work on the seventh day and rest. This soon coming latter rain outpouring will restore the true believers to the holiness, power and ministry of Jesus. Religion will fight against this as they did the early rain and this time it will be worldwide.

Some think that the church is about to fly away. The man-child's ministry in Revelation 12 was to the woman in the wilderness. Moses did not just get caught up to the mountain of God and stay there. He went back to bring Israel through the wilderness that he had just gone through.

Jesus' ministry was to bring the disciples through the wilderness that He had been tried in for forty days. This word wilderness is translated "desert" in the gospels.

Everyone is so worried about storing up. God's provision is the man-child. What did Elijah do after he taught Elisha his ministry? He went into the wilderness and he gave his mantle to Elisha in the wilderness. Elisha was then persecuted by 42 youths, representing 42 months, or 3.5 years. Two she-bears came out of the woods and tore the 42 youths to pieces. The she-bears represent the beast destroying the harlot. The same thing happened with Jesus. Jesus, the man-child, brought the woman into the wilderness, provided for the woman, and fed the woman (church).

God's provision in the wilderness is not storing up. That came from a lot of people walking in the flesh. When the Israelites went into the wilderness their own provision ran out in three days, first the water and then the food.

There are terrible days coming, but we are going get to see miracles. God is going to be responsible for His children. He said, "I have never seen the righteous forsaken or his seed begging for bread".

You do not have to worry about what is going to happen. God is going to take care of His people. Remember the sparrow. He never stored up in barns, and God took care of that sparrow. The first-fruits to come out of Egypt was Moses. Moses was taken through the wilderness. He was caught up to God and God sent Him back to bring the children of God through that wilderness. When Jesus, the man-child, was caught up to the throne of God, He did not stay there. He came back and ministered for 40 days. 40 is the number for tribulation.

He breathed on the disciples and said, "Receive ye the Holy Spirit". Ten days later the Holy Spirit came in a rushing mighty wind. That was the early rain. The early rain came out of the mouth of Jesus. Hosea 6:2 says, "After two days will he revive us: on the third day he will raise us up, and we shall live before Him. And let us know, let us follow on to know the Lord: His going forth is as sure as the morning".

We have come to the morning. Jesus went forth in the morning, trained the woman, provided for the woman in the wilderness, and gave the woman authority. He then left and sent her out to face the beast and the harlot. This is what is going to happen. Jesus was the out-pouring of the early rain and through the man-child He is going pour out the latter rain. Upon the morning of the third day He is going forth again, before He comes in the clouds.

Jesus is going to come down and walk on the earth again, but He is going to be in another body. He is going to be in the body of the man-child.

Jesus came only to the lost sheep of the house of Israel in the gospels. In Acts He came as the early rain, first to Israel and then to the gentiles. When He comes in the man-child, he comes only to the lost sheep of the Church for the first 3.5 years. Then in the second 3.5 years "He will come unto us as the rain, as the latter rain that watereth the earth".

This time the outpouring will come first to the gentile church and then to the Jewish remnant. This is according to the type in Acts because this time we are Israel and natural Israel are the unbelievers. This is a wonderful promise. The Lord Jesus is coming to us in the latter rain. The mighty power of God is going to be seen on this earth through God's people. God is going to train and protect His people for 3.5 years. Then He will send them out to face the beast.

When they are through with their testimony some are going to die, and some will be those who are alive and remain unto the coming of the Lord.

The power that is going to work in them is called the latter rain. People thought that we came to the latter rain in the early 1900s when people started speaking in tongues again, and the power of the Holy Spirit was poured out again.

That was not the latter rain. You can see the latter rain does not start until the morning of the third day, and we are just now reaching that. This is according to the Bible code and according to chronology. Six full prophetic days were fulfilled on September 11. The people who first discovered the Bible code were saying that it would take a person a lifetime just to read what is written there. Joel 2:21-24 says, "Fear not, O land, be glad and rejoice; the Lord hath done great things. Be not afraid, ye beasts of the field; for the pastures of the wilderness do spring, for the tree beareth its fruit, the fig-tree and the vine do yield their strength. Be glad then, ye children of Zion, and rejoice in the Lord your God; for He giveth you the former rain in just measure, and He causeth to come down for you the rain".

We know the book of Acts is moderate, and if that is moderate, what we are going to see is wondrous.

"And he causeth to come down for you the rain, the former rain and the latter rain, in the first month. And the floors shall be full of wheat".

Wheat stands for the harvest of the righteous. "And the vats shall overflow with new wine and oil". There are two harvests; there is the harvest of the righteous and the harvest of the wicked. In this verse he is talking about the harvest of the righteous. This latter rain is a time of bearing great fruit.

I was praying about some people I was teaching. I said, "Lord, they do not seem like they are acting on the Word very well". That night the Lord gave me a vision. In my vision I was standing on the edge of the Red Sea, and I saw my two oldest sons, who had not been doing too well, laboring to climb up the the far bank. Farther down the bank I saw a great turtle laboring to climb up the bank, parallel to them. As I watched this the faces of people I have taught over the years flashed in my mind. I spoke to them and said, "Come over here. I want to show you something", so I went around to the other side of the Sea. Expecting to see the turtle, I instead saw a rabbit. The rabbit was inside a dirt firewall, like they build around oil tanks to contain any spill and subsequent fire. The rabbit had oil all over it. It was underneath a faucet that was still dripping with oil. Beyond this rabbit there was nothing but a desolate wilderness.

The interpretation is this: The Red Sea experience is the repentance or death experience. The old man, the Egyptian, died there when Israel was baptized unto death, burial and resurrection (1Cor.10:1,2).

Now you may say "that was when I came to Christ", but most of Christianity needs to repent and die to self. My oldest sons, the turtle and the faces from the past are all parables to describe children whom I have taught that need to do something with what they have learned.

The water represents the curse of the Word on the old man. The turtle has been given a house by God to preserve him through the waters.

The main purpose of the curse is to motivate God's people to repent so they may be preserved. When God wanted to deliver His people from Egypt, the judgments at first fell on both the Egyptians and Israel. This was to make His people uncomfortable in Egypt and motivate them to repent and leave. Judgments such as this are coming.

God said, "Let my people go, that they may serve me in the wilderness".

Pharaoh said, "Go ye, sacrifice to your God in the land". Moses said, "It is not meet so to do; for we shall sacrifice the abomination of the Egyptians to Jehovah our God".

A sacrifice to God while you live in Egypt is an abomination! God has a cure for this ailment. The curse to motivate repentance and the anointing to preserve and enable in the wilderness. Even Saul was turned into another man when that anointing came.

I went to show these faces from the past what would be on the other side of their baptism unto repentance and there was a rabbit covered with oil. The Israelites were baptized, not only in water, but in the cloud (1Cor.10:1,2). That cloud was the shekinah glory of the Holy Spirit of God.

Friends, there is coming on this morning of the third day an outpouring of the Holy Spirit the likes of which this earth has never seen. This is what the oil symbolizes. That turtle is going to be turned into another creature. Unlike the turtle, the rabbit is designed by God to run, to survive and to escape its enemies in the wilderness. The firewall is to contain the oil and the fire. You shall be "baptized in the Holy Spirit and fire". Some of you are saying, "I am already filled with the Holy Spirit".

Have you ever seen a room full of smoke or a cloud that you could see through? How about a room full of smoke or a cloud that you could not see through? You see the difference is the density. The former rain was in "just measure", literally (Joel 2:23). In this outpouring when God's people begin to speak "the words of God", the Spirit will not be given "by measure" (Jn.3:34).

You say, "Dave, that spoke of Jesus". Of course! "Christ in you the hope of glory". 2Thes.1:10-12 says, "when he shall come to be glorified in his saints, and to be marveled at in all them that believed (because our testimony unto you was believed) in that day. To which end we also pray always for you, that our God may count you worthy of your calling, and fulfill every desire of goodness and every work of faith, with power; that the name of our Lord Jesus may be glorified in you, and ye in him, according to the grace of our God and the Lord Jesus Christ".

What the Holy Spirit and fire does is manifest Christ in us while the chaff, the old man, is burned up in the fiery trials (Mt.3:11,12).

2Cor.4:10,11 says",always bearing about in the body the dying of Jesus, that the life also of Jesus may be manifested in our body. For we who live are always delivered unto death for Jesus' sake, that the life also of Jesus may be manifested in our mortal flesh".

Notice "mortal flesh"! We have been lied to, friends. Here is where Jesus is to be manifested and glorified, not wait until we get to Heaven. What changes then is our body, not our soul. That doctrine gives people an excuse to walk in the flesh and subsequently lose their soul.

God is about to push us out into the wilderness. The flesh is not going to like it.

Joel2:24 says, "And the floors shall be full of wheat and the vats shall overflow with new wine and oil, and I will restore unto you the years which the locust hath eaten". You can see the curse on His vineyard and wheat field. "I will restore unto you the years which the locust hath eaten, and the canker worm and the caterpillar and the palmer worm. My great army which I sent among you".

What has been stolen from you that God gave to you, and He is going to restore? The promises and the blessings that were stolen from you God says He is going to restore in the latter rain.

What do you think that the canker worm and the palmer worm suggest? They suggest the curse, things that are stolen from God's people. The things that you have been praying for and asking God to do. God is going to answer those prayers. He is going to do this when the wine vats overflow with new wine and the wheat fields are full. In the later rain He is going to restore to you that which has been stolen from you. It was stolen because we gave up our inheritance.

Isaiah 24 tells us that because they forsook the covenant that the earth is overrun and devoured by the curse. God sends His army when you forsake the covenant. His army is the locust and the canker worm and the caterpillar and the palmer worm. "My great army which I sent among you".

Joel 2:28 says, "And It shall come to pass afterwards that I will pour out my spirit upon all flesh". When you say "all flesh" to the Jews, they would not believe that, because they are "God's chosen people". God is pouring out His gifts to the gentiles. He poured it out in the early rain. "And It shall come to pass that afterwards that I will pour out my spirit upon all flesh". That is all peoples without respect of persons. "And your sons and your daughters shall prophecy and your old men shall dream dreams and your young men shall see visions".

We are about to have a revival of all those things that God poured out. I am not saying that there is any time in history that you have to be without this, or that you should be without any of this. He is saying that in the latter rain, which is a parallel to the former rain, God is going to pour this out again in greater abundance. There is going to be a great outpouring of the spirit. He is going to bring His people back to the benefits of his promises.

"Bless Jehovah, O my soul; And all that is within me, bless his holy name. Bless Jehovah, O my soul, And forget not all his benefits: Who forgiveth all thine iniquities; Who healeth all thy diseases; Who redeemeth thy life from destruction; Who crowneth thee with lovingkindness and tender mercies; Who satisfieth thy desire with good things, So that thy youth is renewed like the eagle". (Ps.103:5)
