Latter Rain and Tribulation

Bryan Hinton - 01/24/2011
(David's notes in red)

Greetings, saints. The Lord gave me a dream of what I believe will be the latter rain outpouring. However, before I had the dream, I had two bad dreams: one of meeting a homosexual man and another of meeting a rapper.

I felt as though they were demonic attacks, so I awoke and cast out the wicked spirits and commanded them to leave in Jesus' name. Then the Lord gave me the following dream. (This symbolizes that there will be demonic attacks before the latter rain comes and we must be ready to oppose them with the former rain.)

In the dream, I was with a few others and it began to rain immensely, so much so that all needed covering, so some put on gloves and coats and umbrellas but there was no stopping the rain. Somehow we knew that the rain was not going to stop. I could feel the holiness of the Lord in my heart and in the others around me. I could also sense the safety from the enemy in the presence of the Lord. All the saints who were in the rain were sanctified and holy. The Lord spoke to me that the purpose of our going through trials and tribulations is to overcome through them and be able to help others. (The latter rain is coming soon to empower God's people to walk in His steps of holiness and administer His gifts to His people.)

We (all the saints) began to travel together toward a mountain side to call upon the name of the Lord. After this great number of holy saints traveled to the mountain, we were all seeking the Lord and all began to cry out to the Lord for His power and help very earnestly. We all cried out together and individually for God's power and Spirit and all of a sudden there was a great outpouring of the Spirit of God upon the saints. All were holy and we stayed together. (The house of God on spiritual Mount Zion is the spiritual refuge worldwide. Psalms 15, 24 and 125 reveal the righteousness, faith and safety of those who make up spiritual, New Testament Zion. Isaiah 60 speaks of the restoration and blessing of Zion and its people. No violence or unrighteousness will be in her, in verses 18 and 21. In Zephaniah 3:11-14, God will separate all the wicked from spiritual Zion only. In 2 Kings 19:30-37, Zion was the only safe place from the beast outside, not necessarily meaning a war but certainly chaos and lawlessness.)

Later in the dream, there were others who had a form of godliness but had sin in their lives, specifically there was a group of so-called Christians who wanted to join us but had drugs like marijuana and alcohol and we told them they could not join because of these things. (Those who are spiritually intoxicated on sin must not be allowed in the camp.) After that, I turned around and there was a guy with a beer trying to season the meat with the alcohol and first we were against him having any alcohol but after he poured it on the meat we laughed and consented to it. Then I woke up and felt defiled.

During the dream, I could feel the holiness and presence of the Lord really strong until the alcohol had come into the camp. I felt as though it was leaven and that is why I awoke the way I did. (The meat is the ability to hear and DO the Word. Jesus said, "My meat is to do the will of my Father". Alcohol on the meat spiritually represents the inability to perceive correctly and act correctly concerning the Word. This is a warning that we are not to permit the leavened brethren's words and actions to be acceptable. {1Co.5:6} Your glorying is not good. Know ye not that a little leaven leaveneth the whole lump? {7} Purge out the old leaven, that ye may be a new lump, even as ye are unleavened. For our passover also hath been sacrificed, [even] Christ: {8} wherefore let us keep the feast, not with old leaven, neither with the leaven of malice and wickedness, but with the unleavened bread of sincerity and truth. ... {11} but as it is, I wrote unto you not to keep company, if any man that is named a brother be a fornicator, or covetous, or an idolater, or a reviler, or a drunkard, or an extortioner; with such a one no, not to eat. {12} For what have I to do with judging them that are without? Do not ye judge them that are within? {13} But them that are without God judgeth. Put away the wicked man from among yourselves.)

After I awoke, I was texted by brother Gabe Watson who fellowshipped and prayed with me about things the Lord had been showing him. I believe the dream is referring to the latter rain anointing and outpouring of the Holy Spirit and how all God's people will be sanctified through trials and brought together to be one flock and one shepherd, for in the dream, although there were numerous saints, we were all following Jesus and traveling unto the mountain and we cried out with one voice unto God. I also believe the Lord is telling me I can't consent to other people's sin, like the man with the alcohol pouring it on the meat.

Hallelujah for the coming of the outpouring of the Spirit of God in the coming days and the true flock of God coming together to be one flock, one shepherd.
