We Believed, We Received

Suani Guzman - 11/10/2008

I wanted to share something to God's glory. We had made the choice to not buy winter boots for Hannah(my five-year-old) and instead pray and wait. (Mar.11:24) Therefore I say unto you, All things whatsoever ye pray and ask for, believe that ye receive them, and ye shall have them. We did not tell anybody about it. While waiting, I was tempted many times to buy them but by His grace waited. The Lord gave me peace by remembering that the Lord knows the things we have need of.

On Friday my sister called and said she wanted to take Hannah out and buy her some shoes. She came back with winter boots and shoes. Halleluiah! Thank You, Lord. I also refused to buy shampoo and instead pray and wait.My sister alsogave me this huge bottle of some nice shampoo.

Nathan (my 11-year-old) was feeling pretty bad yesterday with a headache and stomach ache. We prayed for Him and believed according to (Gal.3:13)Christ redeemed us from the curse of the law, having become a curse for us; for it is written, Cursed is every one that hangeth on a tree: (14) that upon the Gentiles might come the blessing of Abraham in Christ Jesus; that we might receive the promise of the Spirit through faith. Ps.103:3 and 1 Pet.2:23 say that we are not under the curse as written in Deuteronomy 28. By that night the Lord had completely healed him. PTL!

I also had gotten a terrible stomach ache and felt like throwing up. I prayed and by His grace and only His, entered into the Sabbath Rest that it was done. I sat on the bed, unable to do anything and just thought about being a child in my Father's arms with child-like faith. Thoughts came like, You are going to throw up, to which I answered by saying, "No, I don't have to". (2Co.10:4) for the weapons of our warfare are not of the flesh, but mighty before God to the casting down of strongholds, (5) casting down imaginations, and every high thing that is exalted against the knowledge of God, and bringing every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ...

In half an hour He healed me. Thank You, Lord. I've also gone through three infections, one of which was very bad and painful and within hours and without taking any pills He healed me. Halleluiah!!

We are just stepping out in faith and preparing for wilderness living. Yes, God still can prepare a table in the wilderness. Ps 78:19-20.
